4C-TV System
u There are three ways to add new titles to a 4C-TV database:
u From the Contract Maintenance Screen, via the Add Rights function. This alternative must be used to add titles that are licensed under a specific Contract. The corresponding Rights record is created along with the Program record. From the Add New Right form, click on the New Program button.
u From a Series List or Series Record, via the New Episode or Add Episodes buttons. This alternative should be used to add titles that are Episodes in a Series. This option allows the quick creation of multiple program records, and the Series details are used as a template to complete the new Episodes record (contract & technical details). The corresponding Rights records are created if the Series is linked to a specific Contract.
u From the Distributor List, via the Add Program button. This is the alternative for adding titles to the database that have no licensed rights and are not episodes of any Series. Programs with no licensed rights CANNOT BE SCHEDULED.
u The Controlling Company field is mandatory and MUST be filled. This field determines the Company/Channel/Department controlling the specific title. Titles from one Controlling Company are accessible only to users of that same company and cannot be viewed, changed, scheduled by users of any other Controlling Company
