Break Grid Generation
u This page describes the Break Grid generation process, used to prepare the Commercial Break Grid, based on a channel's Monthly Schedule.
u The Break Grid's preparation was reviewed to use the information of a Breaks' position within each Program. The Breaks on the grid have the breaks' approximate start time, which is calculated from the Program's start time.
u The Breaks' title was adjusted to maintain naming consistency. In case of Series episodes, all Breaks corresponding to the program have the Series name, no longer using the episode's name.
u Channel parameters are used when creating Breaks to indicating the existence of inter-program breaks. In the Channel indicates commercial breaks between programs, the corresponding breaks are always automatically created between each program, and these will have the ending program's title.
u The Channel's configuration also indicates the existence of commercial break during programs (intra-programs). If the Channel indicates inter-program breaks (HBO/MAX), only breaks for especial programs (Cine Ref, Ent News, etc.) will be created. In case the Channel indicates breaks during the programs, the program's or Series' title will be used to identify the corresponding breaks' format.
u In the creation of the program's breaks, the break information is defined in the Program Format Table. In the case of Series, the Program Format Table record used will be the one corresponding to the Series' name, not the episode title. For non-Series, the program name or title will be used, and for special programs (Ent News, Cine Ref), if a Franchise is indicated, that will be used to identify the break's format.
